Well, if you’ve been paying very close attention to my release dates, you might have guessed that I should have released version 1.4 a week ago.  It is delayed.

The truth is that the basis for the new search engine I’m writing has been working for several months, but extending it to work correctly with the more advanced search options has been an extremely difficult task.  I’ve had to completely change the format in which I store the Bible data (which is now much smaller!)  I finally hit the milestone of getting the new proximity feature to work correctly, and I’m very excited.

I was about to just release a portion of it, with an option to go back to the original search engine, just in case there was a bug I don’t know about.  But since I did get proximity working, all I have to do is get case-sensitivity working for “None” items and it’s ready.  That could be more like the end of this week.
